Senior Software Engineer

About the role

This is a Senior Software Engineer opportunity with a fast-growing US healthtech business that partners with employers to steer members towards higher-quality doctors and lower-cost care. The role sits in Engineering, on a team building systems that analyse billions of medical records to rank healthcare providers. The company runs on AWS and Kubernetes and is adopting AI across how it builds and operates software. You’ll lead technical strategy and decisions for your domains, use AI to build, optimise and maintain software, and mentor early-career engineers. You’ll work across disciplines to understand the domain and iterate on projects, and protect user privacy and security throughout. The stack includes Python, TypeScript, React, Go, Airflow, dbt and Claude Code. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years’ software engineering experience, a generalist mindset, and a demonstrated ability to build complex systems with AI coding agents. They will learn quickly, enjoy mentoring, and be familiar with data security and HIPAA. This is a remote US position with occasional travel to the New York headquarters, suited to a senior engineer who wants broad ownership in a high-urgency, high-accountability team. We're looking for someone curious, pragmatic, and eager to work across the stack with a small senior team. You'll own end-to-end delivery of major features, influence architecture, and mentor engineers.
