About the role

This is a Lead Data Scientist opportunity with a Series C US digital health business offering dietitian-led, insurance-covered metabolic health care across all 50 states. The role is embedded with the Product team and owns analytics across the patient lifecycle: how patients start care, stay engaged, churn and return. It combines product analytics, experimentation and predictive modelling in a marketplace setting. You’ll define the metrics that guide the product roadmap, build and maintain production-ready models for churn, resurrection and targeting, and turn complex questions into clear recommendations with sized opportunities. You’ll design and analyse experiments, use causal inference where experiments are not feasible, partner with Product on prioritisation, and help build the experimentation methodology, standards and tooling used across the company. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years’ experience in data science or product analytics, ideally at a consumer tech company or marketplace, with expert-level experimentation and causal inference, clean and performant SQL, and strong Python. They will communicate well enough to earn trust across functions and be motivated by the mission. The role is based in New York, with the Data team in the office two to three days a week, and suits a senior scientist who wants to shape how a product team uses data. We're looking for someone curious, pragmatic, and eager to work across the stack with a small senior team. You'll own end-to-end delivery of major features, influence architecture, and mentor engineers.
