Senior Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

This is a Senior Infrastructure Engineer opportunity with a growing Series B New York health tech business that uses AI orchestration to improve revenue cycle management for healthcare providers. It is a hands-on individual contributor role that owns and scales the cloud platform, developer tooling and data infrastructure, and sets reliability, security and performance standards for products used by enterprise physician groups. You’ll design and own secure, scalable cloud infrastructure using infrastructure as code and reusable modules, own the data infrastructure (Postgres, RDS and Aurora, Snowflake) including reliability, backups, disaster recovery and migrations, and build a self-service developer platform with CI/CD and ephemeral environments. You’ll set observability standards with Datadog, handle IAM, network security and PHI in a HIPAA and SOC 2 environment, and use AI-native tools such as Claude Code. The stack includes AWS, Terraform, Python, Docker, Temporal and GitHub Actions. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years’ software engineering experience, including 3+ years in DevOps, platform engineering or cloud infrastructure, with a strong ownership mindset and experience building operational maturity. Experience in a regulated environment such as healthcare or finance, and familiarity with HIPAA and SOC 2 processes, are expected. The company is based in New York City, and the role suits an engineer who wants to build the platform others build on. We're looking for someone curious, pragmatic, and eager to work across the stack with a small senior team. You'll own end-to-end delivery of major features, influence architecture, and mentor engineers.
