Senior Frontend Engineer

About the role

This is a Senior Software Engineer (Frontend) opportunity with a Series A New York health tech business that builds patient engagement software for biopharma companies supporting people with chronic and rare diseases. The role owns the frontend, including a shared design system, and makes the architecture decisions that let the team ship customer-facing features continuously. You’ll build and evolve a shared UI design system of components, patterns and primitives, make frontend architecture decisions on state, data fetching, module boundaries and performance, and scope and ship customer-facing features end to end with product and design. You’ll improve testing, tooling, deployment and observability, use LLM-assisted development, take part in on-call and mentor engineers. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years’ professional software engineering experience with React and TypeScript, proven ownership of a UI design system, experience with end-to-end testing tooling and strong UX instincts. Comfort with ambiguity and early-stage ownership is important. GraphQL, Playwright, Tailwind, building LLM-integrated features and health tech experience would be advantageous. This is an office-first role in New York City, with in-person collaboration four days a week, suited to a frontend engineer who wants to define how a product looks and behaves. We're looking for someone curious, pragmatic, and eager to work across the stack with a small senior team. You'll own end-to-end delivery of major features, influence architecture, and mentor engineers.
