Software Engineer

About the role

This is a Software Engineer opportunity with a Series A New York health tech business that builds patient engagement software for biopharma companies supporting people with chronic and rare diseases from diagnosis through therapy. It is a generalist role across backend and frontend, with the chance to specialise depending on the team, and ownership of projects from scoping through rollout. You’ll design, build and scale software for a growing product and customer base, use AI and LLMs to speed up work and power product features, and own projects with Product, Design and Client Solutions from scoping and design through implementation. You’ll also improve internal engineering systems such as testing, deployment, observability and agentic coding, and take part in on-call for production systems. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years’ professional software engineering experience with a modern language such as TypeScript, Python or Go, experience developing software for cloud environments and a product-engineering mindset that balances quality with speed. They will be self-directed with a strong desire to learn. Health tech experience, early-stage experience, use of agentic coding tools and experience operating LLM-powered products would be advantageous. This is an onsite role in New York City, four days a week. We're looking for someone curious, pragmatic, and eager to work across the stack with a small senior team. You'll own end-to-end delivery of major features, influence architecture, and mentor engineers.
