Analytics Engineer
Forus · New York, NY
About the role
This is a Data and Analytics Engineer opportunity with a New York AI-powered network that connects doctors, pharmacies, payers and biopharma to speed new treatments to patients. The role builds the data foundation for how the company operates, measures and grows, designing and maintaining core data models, pipelines and reporting infrastructure, and helping define analytics engineering practice. You’ll build core data models for internal analytics and client-facing insights, design and operate pipelines that turn raw sources into analytics-ready tables, and create dashboards and reporting tools for product, operations and go-to-market teams. You’ll define and enforce metric consistency, improve and scale the analytics stack, and translate stakeholder needs into reliable systems. The stack centres on BigQuery, Dataform, Fivetran and Postgres, with familiarity with dbt, Airflow and Metabase also listed. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 6 years in data engineering, analytics engineering or a technical data analyst role with production ownership, with expert SQL and a code-first approach covering versioning, testing and documentation. Strong data modelling judgement and clear communication are important. This is an in-person role at the company’s SoHo office in New York City, suited to an engineer who wants to build a data function from an early stage. We're looking for someone curious, pragmatic, and eager to work across the stack with a small senior team. You'll own end-to-end delivery of major features, influence architecture, and mentor engineers.
