Lead AI Engineer

About the role

This is an AI Platform and Enablement Lead opportunity with a New York AI-powered network that connects doctors, pharmacies, payers and biopharma to speed new treatments to patients. The role leads the AI platform and enablement work for the Operations team, building and running the team’s internal AI workspace, improving AI output quality and helping the team adopt AI effectively. You’ll build and own the Operations team’s AI workspace, including access and integrations with daily tools, maintain a central knowledge base, skills library and scheduled automations, and test new models on real operations use cases, scaling the ones that work. You’ll work with operations teams to find high-value workflows to automate, standardise evaluation and monitoring with engineering, train and onboard team members, and partner with data and engineering on a prompt engineering and backtesting platform and a curated data layer. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 10 years as a product manager, optimiser or builder, with daily hands-on use of the modern AI stack including agents, tool integrations, prompt and context engineering and evals. Comfort across APIs, integrations and data, strong business acumen and a focus on measurable results such as hours saved are expected. This is an in-person role at the company’s SoHo office in New York City, and it is closer to AI operations than to core software engineering. We're looking for someone curious, pragmatic, and eager to work across the stack with a small senior team. You'll own end-to-end delivery of major features, influence architecture, and mentor engineers.
