Senior Analytics Engineer
Novellia · New York, NY; Remote (US)
About the role
This is a Senior Product Analytics Engineer opportunity with a Seed-stage US health data company that runs a patient-powered real-world data platform, helping people access their health records and supplying longitudinal insights to biopharma. The role owns product analytics: deciding what to measure, instrumenting it and building the data models and dashboards behind product and growth decisions, as a data partner to product and design. It reports to the Manager, Data and Analytics. You’ll join roadmap and feature scoping discussions, audit event tracking and work with engineers to close gaps, and build and document dbt models for product, growth and operational reporting. You’ll build dashboards and self-serve tools, track engagement, retention and activation, and coordinate with the clinical and research analytics engineers on shared standards. The stack includes BigQuery, dbt, Stitch, Hex and Mixpanel. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years in analytics engineering or a related data role, experience at a consumer-facing company and a startup, strong SQL and dbt, hands-on Mixpanel experience, and a strong grasp of funnel, cohort and retention analysis and A/B testing. Healthcare experience, FHIR familiarity and mobile analytics instrumentation would be advantageous. This is a role based in New York City or remote within the US. We're looking for someone curious, pragmatic, and eager to work across the stack with a small senior team. You'll own end-to-end delivery of major features, influence architecture, and mentor engineers.
