Senior Full Stack Engineer

About the role

This is a Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) opportunity with a New York healthcare company building software that coordinates at-home care among providers, payors and patients, with the mission of hospital-quality care everywhere. It aims to replace fax and phone-based coordination with modern infrastructure. You’ll build software for hospitals and patients, work closely with customers and internal teams to define what to build, and solve complex technical and product problems. You’ll build prototypes quickly with a plan to make them robust over time, work independently on complex issues, and collaborate with non-engineering stakeholders. The stack includes Python, TypeScript, Flask, React, Apollo GraphQL, Postgres, Airflow and AWS. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience building, shipping and maintaining full-stack applications in production, with proficiency in backend (Python or TypeScript) and frontend (React or Vue) development and strong SQL skills. The posting lists an advanced degree in computer science or a related field and the ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences. This is a hybrid position with four days a week in the New York City office or the San Francisco hub; remote applications are not accepted and visa sponsorship is not offered. We're looking for someone curious, pragmatic, and eager to work across the stack with a small senior team. You'll own end-to-end delivery of major features, influence architecture, and mentor engineers.
