Full Stack Engineer

About the role

This is a Software Engineer (Full Stack) opportunity with a New York healthcare company building software that coordinates at-home care among providers, payors and patients, with the mission of hospital-quality care everywhere. It is the junior-level version of the company’s full-stack role, building and maintaining applications for hospitals and patients. You’ll build software for hospitals and patients, develop creative solutions to technical and product problems, and build fast prototypes with a plan to make them robust over time. You’ll work independently on complex issues and collaborate with non-engineering stakeholders and customers to define requirements. The stack includes Python, TypeScript, Flask, React, Apollo GraphQL, PostgreSQL, Airflow and AWS. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience building, shipping and maintaining full-stack production applications, with proficiency in backend (Python or TypeScript) and frontend (React or Vue) development and strong SQL skills. The posting lists an advanced degree in computer science or a related field. This is a hybrid position with four days a week in the New York City office or the San Francisco hub; remote applications are not accepted and visa sponsorship is not offered. We're looking for someone curious, pragmatic, and eager to work across the stack with a small senior team. You'll own end-to-end delivery of major features, influence architecture, and mentor engineers.
