Lead Software Engineer

About the role

This is an Engineering Tech Lead opportunity with a Series A US healthtech business whose AI platform gives hospitals end-to-end visibility into their supply chain. It is an individual contributor leadership role with no people management, setting technical direction for the team’s projects while staying hands-on in production code. You’ll lead system design, architecture and technical direction, write production code, and mentor engineers through code review and pairing. You’ll partner with Product on technical plans, spot technical risk, tech debt and cross-team dependencies early, and set engineering standards and tooling. The stack is Python, React and TypeScript, with AWS, SQL and data pipeline work as nice-to-haves. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of software engineering experience, including leading technical direction on a team, with deep hands-on production experience in Python, React and TypeScript. A record of sound architecture decisions in fast-moving environments, mentoring experience and strong communication are expected. Healthcare, supply chain or regulated-domain experience would be advantageous. This is a fully remote US position, suited to a senior engineer who wants technical leadership without managing people. We're looking for someone curious, pragmatic, and eager to work across the stack with a small senior team. You'll own end-to-end delivery of major features, influence architecture, and mentor engineers.
