Staff Software Engineer

About the role

This is a Staff Software Engineer opportunity with a growing New York AI platform for consumer packaged goods brands, running deductions, cash application, planning and finance in one system. The role leads architecture and development on major platform and infrastructure initiatives. Note that this is a CPG finance business, not healthtech. You’ll lead the design of large platform initiatives, shape technical strategy with engineering leadership, and mentor other engineers. The stack across the business includes Ruby on Rails, Python, TypeScript and React. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ at staff level, with strong systems design skills. This is an on-site role in New York City with relocation support, suited to a staff engineer who wants to set direction as the engineering team grows from around 20 towards 50. We're looking for someone curious, pragmatic, and eager to work across the stack with a small senior team. You'll own end-to-end delivery of major features, influence architecture, and mentor engineers.
