Data Scientist

About the role

This is a Data Scientist opportunity with a growing New York AI platform for consumer packaged goods brands, running deductions, cash application, planning and finance in one system. The role builds models that help brands forecast sales, set prices and plan promotions. Note that this is a CPG finance business, not healthtech. You’ll improve demand and sales forecasts across thousands of noisy retail time series, measure promotion effectiveness (lift, price elasticity, cannibalisation) and build statistical checks that keep models reliable as data quality shifts. Models ship inside the product, working with the AI/ML engineering team. The stack is Python, SQL, Snowflake, dbt and AWS. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5+ years of hands-on data science with real-world data, strong statistics (regression, time series, experiment design, uncertainty quantification) and fluency in Python and SQL. Retail, CPG or supply chain data and production model deployment would be advantageous. This is a New York City role with relocation support. We're looking for someone curious, pragmatic, and eager to work across the stack with a small senior team. You'll own end-to-end delivery of major features, influence architecture, and mentor engineers.
