Senior Data Scientist

About the role

This is a Senior Data Scientist opportunity with a growing New York AI platform for consumer packaged goods brands, running deductions, cash application, planning and finance in one system. The role builds forecasting and pricing models on messy retail data. Note that this is a CPG finance business, not healthtech. You’ll build forecasting models for sales, demand and pricing across thousands of noisy retail time series, measure promotion effectiveness, create statistical checks and evaluation methods, and turn analyses into models that ship inside the product. The data covers sell-through, inventory, deductions, trade promotions and supply-chain signals. The stack is Python, SQL, Snowflake, dbt and AWS. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on data science with real-world data, strong statistical foundations and fluency in Python and SQL. Retail or CPG data, production model deployment and forecasting at scale would be advantageous. This is a New York City role with relocation support. We're looking for someone curious, pragmatic, and eager to work across the stack with a small senior team. You'll own end-to-end delivery of major features, influence architecture, and mentor engineers.
