Founding Engineer

About the role

This is a Founding Analytics Engineer opportunity with a Series A New York healthcare finance company building an AI-powered financial operating system for medical practices. It is the first analytics hire, building the analytics stack from scratch. You’ll design the warehouse, transformation, semantic and visualisation layers, define data models, metrics and business logic (including revenue recognition and billing rules), build self-service dashboards for internal teams and customers, and set standards for governance, testing and documentation. The tools include SQL, dbt, Looker or Tableau, Python, and a cloud warehouse such as Snowflake, BigQuery or Redshift. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in analytics engineering, data analytics or BI with a focus on data models and metrics frameworks. Healthcare or financial analytics experience would be advantageous. This is an on-site role in New York City, three days a week in the office. We're looking for someone curious, pragmatic, and eager to work across the stack with a small senior team. You'll own end-to-end delivery of major features, influence architecture, and mentor engineers.
