Founding Engineer

About the role

This is a Founding Infrastructure Engineer opportunity with a Series A New York healthcare finance company building an AI-powered financial operating system for medical practices. The platform ingests and reconciles large volumes of messy financial data, so stability and scale matter. You’ll own the Kubernetes platform end to end, design and maintain CI/CD workflows on GitHub Actions, build observability (metrics, logs, tracing), establish security foundations including secrets management, IAM and compliance-friendly patterns, optimise PostgreSQL performance and build internal tooling. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in infrastructure, SRE or platform engineering, with strong Kubernetes, Python, CI/CD, PostgreSQL, infrastructure as code and cloud networking and IAM experience. EKS or GKE and Terraform would be advantageous. This is an on-site role in New York City, three days a week in the office. We're looking for someone curious, pragmatic, and eager to work across the stack with a small senior team. You'll own end-to-end delivery of major features, influence architecture, and mentor engineers.
