Analytics Engineer

About the role

This is a Forward Deployed Analytics Engineer opportunity with a Series A New York company building agentic AI software for healthcare finance teams. Its agents run continuously against each customer’s own data and business logic, and its customers manage billions of dollars in combined revenue. You’ll gather customer requirements and business rules, sometimes on site, review financial and clinical source data models, reverse-engineer undocumented business logic such as payer contract rules, and build and validate SQL transformations that map customer data into the company’s unified ontology and semantic layer. You’ll own testing and validation for every transformation shipped. The stack is SQL (BigQuery preferred), SQLMesh, a modern data platform (Databricks, Snowflake, Fabric or BigQuery), Git, Python and CI/CD. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5+ years of industry experience with deep healthcare data experience across claims, EHR or revenue cycle data, strong SQL and dbt-style tooling experience. Epic Cogito or Clarity certifications, PHI governance experience and HL7, FHIR or X12 familiarity would be advantageous. This is an in-person role in New York City, four days a week. We're looking for someone curious, pragmatic, and eager to work across the stack with a small senior team. You'll own end-to-end delivery of major features, influence architecture, and mentor engineers.
