Senior Software Engineer

About the role

This is a Senior Software Engineer opportunity with a Seed-stage New York AI company automating healthcare recruiting, from sourcing through onboarding, for large health system customers. It is a senior role scaling the backend as volume grows from thousands to millions of candidate interactions. You’ll scale the backend architecture for AI products, set technical direction, mentor engineers while staying hands-on, build end-to-end AI applications with the product and founding teams, and improve reliability and observability. The stack is JavaScript, Node.js, Python, React, AWS (EKS, ECS), Kubernetes, Docker and MySQL or Postgres. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of software engineering experience with strong full-stack exposure, a prior senior or lead title, and demonstrated experience running high-availability distributed systems. Time at both a late-stage company and an early-stage startup is asked for. LLM, voice, streaming or low-latency experience would be advantageous. This is a hybrid role in New York City, in the office Monday to Thursday. We're looking for someone curious, pragmatic, and eager to work across the stack with a small senior team. You'll own end-to-end delivery of major features, influence architecture, and mentor engineers.
