Forward Deployed Engineer

About the role

This is a Forward Deployed Engineer opportunity with a Seed-stage New York AI company automating healthcare recruiting for large health system customers. Its AI interviewers already run tens of thousands of structured candidate interviews each month. You’ll lead customer onboarding and turn hiring requirements into interview flows, question banks and scoring rubrics, design prompts and agent logic, build evaluation and scoring systems, deploy new interviewers and run QA pipelines. You’ll use customer feedback and production metrics to balance quality, latency and cost. The stack centres on Python, multiple LLMs and voice or conversational AI tooling. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of engineering experience (4 to 6 preferred), 1+ year working with LLMs or AI agents in production, a strong full-stack background and experience building evaluation frameworks for AI systems. Comfort with customer-facing technical discovery is expected. This is a hybrid role in New York City, in the office Monday to Thursday. We're looking for someone curious, pragmatic, and eager to work across the stack with a small senior team. You'll own end-to-end delivery of major features, influence architecture, and mentor engineers.
