About the role
This is a Senior Backend Engineer opportunity with a Series D consumer sleep and recovery technology company, combining hardware, software and AI. It is not healthtech in the provider sense. The role keeps a very large data pipeline and a microservice estate healthy. You’ll maintain and improve the integrity of a data pipeline handling roughly 5 TB a day, build tools to keep around 30 microservices available and automate their operation, and contribute to backend services and product features. The listing is polyglot (Java, Scala or Kotlin, C#/.NET, Python, Node.js with TypeScript). The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of software engineering experience, 5+ years as a backend engineer or SRE, advanced skill in at least two of the listed languages, and deep distributed systems and cloud experience. The company describes a high-intensity culture. This is a remote US position. We're looking for someone curious, pragmatic, and eager to work across the stack with a small senior team. You'll own end-to-end delivery of major features, influence architecture, and mentor engineers.
