Senior Backend Engineer

About the role

This is a Senior Software Engineer (Back End) opportunity with a remote cardiac care company. You’ll build the services that connect patients, devices and care teams. You’ll work across Rails, Python, TypeScript, Kafka and AWS, with Flutter and React on the client side, and help guide other engineers. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of backend experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or mentoring role. The role is based in New York, with office time in Tribeca. We're looking for someone curious, pragmatic, and eager to work across the stack with a small senior team. You'll own end-to-end delivery of major features, influence architecture, and mentor engineers.

What you'll do

• Ship customer-facing features on a weekly cadence.
• Partner with design and product on scoping and trade-offs.
• Drive technical quality through review, testing, and docs.
• Mentor one or two engineers on your team.
