Director, AI Automation Engineering

About the role

This is a Director of AI Automation Engineering opportunity with a Seed stage company building AI engagement tools for pharma and healthcare professionals. You’ll be the first hire in this function, with real scope to shape it. You’ll build AI evaluation and release-gating infrastructure, set standards, and report to the SVP of Product AI. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of engineering experience and has built AI systems with strong testing in place. The role is based in New York, Atlanta or remote within the US. We're looking for someone curious, pragmatic, and eager to work across the stack with a small senior team. You'll own end-to-end delivery of major features, influence architecture, and mentor engineers.

• Ship customer-facing features on a weekly cadence.
• Partner with design and product on scoping and trade-offs.
• Drive technical quality through review, testing, and docs.
• Mentor one or two engineers on your team.
