About the role
This is a Senior Applied AI/ML Engineer opportunity with a pre-seed healthtech company based in New York. You’ll build LLM systems that run in production from early on. You’ll work in Python and design, evaluate and ship LLM-driven workflows. The ideal candidate will have senior applied AI experience in production. The role is hybrid in New York, with remote within the US also possible. We're looking for someone curious, pragmatic, and eager to work across the stack with a small senior team. You'll own end-to-end delivery of major features, influence architecture, and mentor engineers.

- Ship customer-facing features on a weekly cadence.
- Partner with design and product on scoping and trade-offs.
- Drive technical quality through review, testing, and docs.
- Mentor one or two engineers on your team.
