Senior Data Engineer

This is a Senior Data Engineer opportunity with a New York healthcare company building software that coordinates at-home care among providers, payors and patients. It is a zero-to-one role building the data infrastructure for the business, owning the data architecture behind product and operations. You’ll design, build and manage pipelines that ingest and integrate data from multiple sources, develop data models for business operations, executive reporting and analytics, and improve architecture and storage for performance, cost and both batch and real-time workloads. You’ll ensure data accuracy, quality and compliance through governance and monitoring, and own the reliability and evolution of production data products. The stack includes SQL, Python, Fivetran, Airbyte, dbt and Snowflake, BigQuery or Redshift. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years in data engineering, analytics engineering or data architecture, with strong SQL and Python, experience designing and scaling end-to-end data infrastructure, and a solid grasp of data modelling, governance, privacy and observability. Leading data platform decisions, platform migrations and healthcare or HIPAA-regulated data experience would be advantageous. This is a hybrid position in New York City, four days a week in the office.
